Compromise

I absolutely hate to admit that I'm wrong.  I'm pretty sure that's a big part of being human, particularly of the female variety.  But I think I may have been kinda wrong about our real estate agent.  Let me explain...

I am very particular, as one should be, about the potential house that Keith and I and our future family will live in.  I want a lot of things.  I want a 4+ bedroom, 3+ bath house, preferably a two story.  I want a wonderful kitchen, since I'm in there quite a bit.  I want a big master bathroom, since, once again, I'm in there quite a bit :).  I want a finished basement, really for kids.  I have so many fond memories of playing in our basement with all my brothers and neighbors.  It's nice to have a place all to yourself when you're younger.  Those are my main requirements.  Not too bad, right? 

Unfortunately for me, I also want to live in a specific part of the city.  And for our budget, my list of wants are pretty impossibly to fulfill.  So I'm trying to figure out where the compromise is.  I'm pretty sure, like our real estate agent told us, we're going to have to move a little further south than I originally wanted to.  If we do that, though, I can get absolutely everything I want in a house.  In fact, we've been eying a particular house in a suburb that our agent suggested that looks absolutely perfect.

Umm yeah, pretty amazing!

As you can see from the pics above, I could literally check EVERY SINGLE wish off my list.  But I have to live pretty far from the original mapped out area I had in mind.  So that's the dilemma.

We're going to go look at a few more houses sometime in the next week or so.  Hopefully we'll start feeling confident one way or another, whichever way that might be!
